- What it is: Sessions and hands-on workshops are perfect for all interested but particularly for students interested in writing, journalism, media, or photography.
- Where it is: The event is at Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, NJ in Conference Center Room 213. Here are directions: (GPS map). Campus map.
- Why participate: Great for strengthening skills, meeting peers from beyond your campus, getting feedback from experts in their field, and putting on college applications.
- How to register: Students should register through their faculty adviser. Advisers should send a list of students, their school email addresses, and birthdates to Prof. Holly Johnson at johnsonh@mccc.edu.

This year’s featured morning sessions include:
FBI Strategies for Interviewing
Learn the tools the FBI has been using for years to get useful information out of interview subjects. This session shows you how to use simple psychological strategies to set people at ease and make them more likely to tell you what you want to know. You won’t need pliers or a car battery! These tools are ethical and easy to learn.
Photography Skills for Journalism
Learn the fundamental concepts of documenting newsworthy events while maintaining ethical boundaries. Explore how pursuing personal work and interests can lead to assignment work.
