Local and grassroots publications in the greater Mercer County, NJ area that are seeking interns or part-time community reporters are invited to reach out to the J Lab to discuss opportunities for collaboration. The program director will work one-on-one with editors to identify the needs of their publication and try to connect them with certificate holders in their area who can contribute meaningful reporting.
The goal of the J Lab Community Partnerships is to ensure that certificate holders have ongoing publishing opportunities and that news outlets have more content to draw from to keep their communities informed.
Note: To help initiate partnerships, some funding may be available through the Fueling Community Reporting grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities and the New School: Journalism + Design.
